Did you try to type C-q C-\, i.e., C-q Ctrl-Opt-¥? I just found that
when I type C-q Ctrl-Opt-Shift-7 (or C-q Ctrl-Opt-/) this is not
handled by Emacs.app but reported as: "<C-S-268632092> is undefined"
and an ASCII NUL, ^@, is inserted. Is this the same case for you, too?
You can view the code, which briefly appears in mini-buffer, by typing
C-h l...

This indeed looks like an NS bug. (My Emacs.app is some weeks old,
though.) Could you report it, adding also my description?
