David,

When I Start Aquamacs without customizations, a scratch file comes up which I can enter, and any new frames also come up useable. I must have a customization problem. I pulled the customization file from the Aquamac Preferences in the ~/Library which included a lot of customization that I don't presently need. I just customized some font lock face colors, and I believe I am ready to go. Thanks for your help!

When I open aquamacs, a frame comes up with a title bar with either the name of the file I opened with aquamacs or the default scratch file. However, nothing shows up in the frame, and you cannot see any typing you enter in a text file or the scratch file.
