[OS X Emacs] How to efficiently work with shells/term? drag & drop, history, several instances

That's easy. You go to http://email.esm.psu.edu/mailman/listinfo/macosx-emacs as you said. Then scroll down to the very end of the page. It says "To unsubscribe from MacOSX-Emacs...", so put your e-mail address in the last blank field and hit "unsubscribe or edit options". Then follow the instructions.
