A new version of Texmaker (v. 1.1) is now available for download from
the developer's website, http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/. A pre-built
OS X version, complete with supporting Qt libraries, is available, so
you no longer need to install Qt separately.

This version seems much improved over the previous (1.0.1) verison, and
addresses one ofwhat I felt were its biggest flaws: insufficient
documentation, and the lack of tools to convert LaTeX to HTML. It now
has much better documentation for the application itself, viewable from
the help menu.

It does have a convert-to-HTML version, but does so in a bizarre way: it
processes each page via LaTeX then converts them into an image, so that
they will appear in a web page exactly as they would in print; the
result is an online slide show. My preference would have been for
cleaner integration with htlatex or html2latex. However, that can still
be managed with htlatex in the "user command" menu.
