[OS X TeX] Updating TeX Live?

Is this February 2008 that you mean?

Does mpm take care of dependencies between packages (namely, that  
version n of a package requires version nn or above of another  
package, forcing to update them simultaneously)?

Can mpm be made aware of the standard locations /usr/local/texlive/ 
texmf-local/ (TeXLive) and /usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.local/ (gwTeX) for  
installing the updates, or even better can it use /Library/TeX/ 
Distributions/.DefaultTeX/Contents/TexmfLocal/ which would apply to  
the current selected distribution?
