[OS X TeX] Mac TeX 2014: how to remove previous versions

Go to "applications" by clicking it on the "Go" menu in the menu bar at  
the top of your screen.  If there's an application named  "Terminal" in  
that directory, double-click on it.  If not, double-click on the  
"Utilities" folder and find the terminal application there amd  
double-click on it.  When the terminal window opens, type exactly

open /usr/local/texlive

That will open the texlive folder in a finder window, and you can drag the  
2013 folder to the trash, provided you have administrative privileges.  If  
you don't, have someone who does do it for you.
