I am using the MacTeX-2009 installation running on an 20" iMac (2.16Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 Gb memory) with TexShop 2.28 as my editor and typesetting engine.

Any assistance you can provide as to why I can generate an \emph{inx} file but not an \emph{ind} file after giving the TexShop Typeset command 4 consecutive times, would very much be appreciated.
