<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=us-ascii"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">I am using the multimedia package in beamer to create a pdf that plays a movie but I can't get the poster option to work properly. This option is supposed to show the first frame of the movie as poster when the movie is not playing but what I get an ugly rendition of the frame (see screen capture). The second screen is from when the movie is playing and shows how the frames actually look. Below is my code. Any suggestions welcome.<div><br></div><div>\documentclass[t]{beamer}<br>\usepackage[english]{babel}<br>\usepackage{multimedia}<br>\title{Movies in Beamer}<br>\begin{document}<br>\frame{\titlepage}<br>\frame{<br>\frametitle{A movie}<br>\begin{center}<br>\movie[poster,width=7.55cm,height=4.64cm,showcontrols,loop]{}{movie.mov}<br>\end{center}<br>}<br>\end{document}</div><div><br><img id="28faf7ce-0f48-4d14-affb-b70fae3eea71" height="540" width="691" apple-width="yes" apple-height="yes" src="cid:87345559-08E1-4610-BFE1-2DA146263C70"><br><br><img id="482e8304-894e-493d-9b86-8b708ec6e10f" height="516" width="691" apple-width="yes" apple-height="yes" src="cid:5267300A-DF5A-41BE-8F3D-4DDEC14979D7"><br><br><br><br><br><br><br></div></body></html>
