Some 90% of Aquamacs users used OBOF when I checked (but that's not  
meant as a quality criterion, of course).

Since the advent of tabs, I'm not a proponent of one-buffer-one-frame- 
mode any longer.  Starting with Aquamacs 1.6, we're going to have tabs  
enabled by default, and one-buffer-one-frame disabled.  (Command-N  
will still open a new frame.)
