[OS X Emacs] Error when starting up in version 1.6.

I have recently upgraded to version 1.6 and I am running with Mac OS
10.5.6.

On start up I receive the following error:
set-frame-font: Font 'fontset-Monaco12' is not defined.

When I proceed to load my remaining file manually, my
customizations.el are not loaded, that is, they do not have any
effect. However, my Preferences.el does seem to load satisfactorily.

This is the first time I received this error--no problem in previous
versions

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
