[OS X Emacs] EPG and Aquamacs 2.0p3

Hello,
 On Carbon Aquamacs, epg worked alright. However upon upgrading
I can open a file using epg (the file being password protected) but
cannot save the file, instead getting the following error:

Saving file /Users/yanger/mystuff/passwd.gpg...
byte-code: Opening output file: integer-or-marker-p, nil

What can I provide to help? The only library loaded is epg, i had
commented out everything else
