Cannot be! You'll have dozens of lines that end in no. (BTW, did you  
configure in Emacs in compile mode? M-x compile RET <then remove any  
"make" line and insert instead: ./configure «with options»> RET – this  
mode would also open a window with the source whose compilation just  
failed)

W3m depends on this software:

	gc
	libiconv
	libm17n
	libncurses5
	libjpeg
	libtiff
	giflib
	libpng3
	openssl
	gettext
	pkgconfig
	freetype219
	imlib2
	(X11?)

'./configure --help' gives some hints.

"w3m is known to work on these platforms.

       ...
       Mac OS X 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4"

It compiles on Mac OS X 10.5.8, too. I haven't tried to use it yet...
