You should turn this encoding into something-dos. (Later you can  
decide to set via your init file environment variables like LANG and  
LC_CTYPE to a value which establishes a preference for some default  
file encoding. This can also be done via the function prefer-coding- 
system – utf-8-hfs is a good choice in and for Mac OS X.)

You can also use: Options menu -> Mule (Multilingual Environment) ->  
Set Coding Systems -> For Reverting This File Now (C-x RET r). Then  
try auto-completion (TAB TAB). Finally make your choice. For this DOS  
file.
