No. The output of the few commands was certainly written somewhere
into your home directory. (You might consider re-installing it...)
Both updmap and fmtutil produce LOG files. They should have recorded
where other output files were written too. To find them:
find ~ -type f -name "*.log"
More precisely:
find ~ -type f \( -name tex.log -o -name latex.log -o -name
updmap.log \)
(Fmtutil does not seem to produce proper LOG files but LOG files from
the initex runs to produce FMT files. So these LOG files will have
names like latex.log or pdflatex.log.)
