[OS X Emacs] syntax highlighting problem

I do recall having issues with Cocoa Emacs in the past - although currently I cannot confirm this as I have to configure emacs first prior to trying

yes, several times and everybody reports it' s working properly in their systems [1] - they actually suggested it should be an aquamacs issue.. 


[1] I am not sure how many are actually using a supercollider/aquamacs combo - there are lots however using emacs on linux and there in works properly


any ideas ??

or at least any quick hack ??
