Hi. Whenever I type ~$, aquamacs turns it into a British pound sign. As you might imagine, this is annoying for TeX files. How can I disable this? In fact, I'd like to disable all composed characters. I've played around with the language environment options, but to no avail. Suggestions? Thanks! Art Werschulz agw at comcast.net
