[OS X Emacs] latex + dvips + ps2pdf from Aquamacs

Dear Win, Dear All,

For years, I have been typesetting some drawings with Aquamacs via:
latex + dvips + ps2pdf
by checking from the menu-bar of Aquamacs
Command > TeXing Options  >
Generate PDF
PDF from DVI > dvips + ps2pdf

It used to work finely through 2019 (I can't recall using it in 2020, but
most likely I did). Now, I need it, and ps2pdf doens work. The first two
run are successful:
LaTeX > Dvips
Command (default Ps2pdf): ps2pdf fails
/bin/sh: ps2pdf: command not found

I would appreciate help, very much.

Just in case to say that the typesetting via latex and ps2pdf goes ok by
TeXShop, in one swap, by selecting:
Typeset > TeX and DVI
 In TeXShop Preferences > Engine:
TeX + dvips + distiller
LaTeX command is:

simpdftex latex --maxpfb --extratexopts "-file-line-error -synctex=1"

I can see in the console window that ps2pdf  has been invoked and running:
### ps2pdf -dCompatibilityLevel=1.5
 /tmp/altpdflatex.17610-1604198561/TreeUnderspSynSem.ps
/tmp/altpdflatex.17610-1604198561/TreeUnderspSynSem.pdf
%%%% WARNING: Transparency operations ignored - need to use
-dALLOWPSTRANSPARENCY
### Copying/moving pdf file
/tmp/altpdflatex.17610-1604198561/TreeUnderspSynSem.pdf to
TreeUnderspSynSem.pdf
### Succesfully generated TreeUnderspSynSem.dvi and TreeUnderspSynSem.pdf
