[OS X TeX] owner and groups in teTeX

Well, at first I thought your install was messed up, so I compared to
mine. Then I found out mine was messed up, except that since it works
just fine, these must be ok. I think owner doesn't matter too much as
long as you can read everything. Gerben would be the guy to answer this.
I'm betting that those are the UID numbers on his machine for the user
that builds the tree. Since the user doesn't exist on your machine, the
number simply shows up.
Opening files in TeXShop shouldn't depend on tetex being installed. Only
texing them should.
On another note, you're better off going directly to Gerben's stuff,
