[Mac OS X TeX] LaTeX panel

hi--

I dropped the new completion.plist in the suggested 
~/Library/Texshop/LatexPanel, but nothing happened.
Then I put it in the place of the old one --- somewhere inside the 
TeXshop bundle.

If I now click on a function, say \cot, it gives  \cot{#INS#}  and the 
cursor is flashing outside of the curly brackets...   what did I do 
wrong?
