[OS X TeX] Hyphenation patterns in TeXShop

I don't think Sherlock, in its present version, looks inside folders 
which, like /usr/local/, are hidden from the OS X user.

Some time ago people on the list directed me to two nice programs, based 
on the UNIX utilities locate and find, which do not have this limitation:
