student ;)

I'm having the same problem : having to select twice the LaTeX Panel in
the Windows menu, or type twice the keyboard equivalent Cmd-=, for
actually displaying the panel. This only happens once after starting up
the application, afterwards I just have to select the menu item or type
the keyboard equivalent once to invoke the panel.

By the way, I'm using version 1.15 of TeXShop ; however I'm also using
OS X 10.1.3, and I've experienced a number of "bugs" and crashes in
applications since I upgraded to 10.1.3 (for example, in Fetch).

Hi
I mean the complete program.
There are 'educational' editions that are quit affordable.

FWIW: my set up is the same: TeXShop 1.15 and OS X 10.1.3, but I
don't experience this problem: both command and window selection work
in one go. Seems it must be something else in your set up.

(PS: I also lost part of the drag-and-drop capability in Fetch.)

Could it be specific to the French localization of TeXShop (or to the
French version of the LaTeX panel, maybe)? Early in the history of
TeXShop, there's been a localization-specific bug already (inability to
perform Search/Replace).

I agree with Bruno Voisin. I think it is a problem with the French
localization I use too.

Folks,

There is indeed a problem with the Latex Palette in the French, Dutch,
and
Portuguese internationalizations of TeXShop.

By coincidence, a new version of TeXShop is ready for release. I'll put
it on the web as soon as I return from teaching and announce
it here. The Palette problem is fixed in the new version.

Thanks for the persistent bug reports. I ignored them
but eventually ...

I wonder what is the use of this <machine-name> and this symbolic link?
By the way on you HTML page the <machine name disappears because you should
replace < with < (and for symmetry > with >).

Love the new customizable tool bars in TeXShop 1.16. :-) However, whenever
I quite the program, a panel comes up warning me the program has just
crashed and there is no need to reboot...??

I'm running OSX 10.1.3. Anybody else have this happen?

Feature request: In the PDF preview window, it would be nice if the
keyboard arrow keyes would scroll the view around. I miss having that from
the CMacTeX dvi viewer. Was very handy and quick to scroll up, down, left
and right...

I shied away from the 10.1.3 and don't think I had that problem when I tried
out 1.16 at my office an hour ago.

I would really like to see something in the viewer other than the weird
command-. and command-, for paging. after almost a year, I still cannot get
used to it. Why not page up and page down?

By the way, maybe I'm the last one to realize this: texshop is a great way
to view ps and eps files...just plop them on the app and they are instantly
distilled to pdf.

Folks,

The crash on quitting TeXShop should be fixed in the version
now on my web site.

There is a preference item called "On Startup: Open Empty
Document." On my machine, this is checked. I predict that
those who saw the crash don't have it checked.

Apologies.
