Hello.

I would like to learn how to use BibTex w/ OS X.2

I have been using the following link as my guide:
http://cmtq0.harvard.edu/Documentation/TeX/Bibtex/Example.html

But, when I process w/ LaTex for the first time I get:
<< Entering LaTeX 2.09 COMPATIBILITY MODE !!WARNING!!
  !!WARNING!! !!WARNING!! !!WARNING!!
This mode attempts to provide an emulation of the
LaTeX 2.09 author environment so that OLD documents
can be successfully processed. It should NOT be used
for NEW documents!
New documents should use Standard LaTeX conventions
and start with the \documentclass command.>>

I have also looked at a number of *descriptions* of
BibTeX, none of which tell me how to flick the switch
on.

So, I am wondering where is the most up-to-date
tutorial might be.

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you!

Tim
