[OS X TeX] Menu bar

Small question, I hope.

I have changed to iTexMac. Love it. But, if I open itexmac from the 
iTexMac 1.3.15 Image folder my menu bar includes "Tex"

When I open an iTexMac file the menu bar does not include "Tex" In that 
spot is a blank area. Clicking in this area produces a menu that is not 
the Tex menu.

Any clues?

Also what is with the coffee cup that appears?
