Yes, I originally typed the former; when I went back to re-create my
steps for the e-mail, I forgot the .sty. The latter syntax is useful
and new to me. Thanks.

Probably the last time I ran the i-Installer. But everything worked
on this machine until the March 30th update....

Thanks, I did that. A few subdirectories needed to be changed as
well. But here is the odd part: I *still* could not get the Fourier
fonts to work, because the permissions on a particular file in
/usr/local/share/teTeXtex/latex/fourier/ were incorrect:
-rwx--x--x 1 root admin 234 7 Sep 2003 fmxfutm.fd*
A 'sudo chmod a+r fmxfutm.fd' fixed that, and I now have restored the
functionality of the Fourier fonts. *whew*
