Actually, the Apple Mail built-in mail bombing system is much more 
efficient :-) than what we have seen here: It produces 1 message per 
second and not as here, one every 15-20 seconds.

The Apple mail bombing system is actually very easy to use: In the 
Preferences, for saving outgoing mail, choose the "Out" folder instead 
of "Sent". Instant success guaranteed. I have seen this in action on two 
mailing list with over 600-700 message in a little over 10 minutes.
Is this what you have tried?
