[OS X TeX] pdf graphic too new to be included

The highest allowed version is a configuration option, which is
set in texmf/tex/generic/config/pdftexconfig.tex. You can set
it for a particular document with a line

\pdfoptionpdfminorversion=5

in the preamble.
