[OS X TeX] Scaled Courier

I've been looking for a typewriter font that I think looks good along with
Fourier-GUTenberg. I've been using the latin modern tt font
(\renewcommand{\ttdefault}{lmtt}) but feel its width is a bit narrow; it is
better to use lmtt than the default cmtt because you'll run into bitmap
substitution under T1 font encoding (used by Fourier) unless you have the
(optional) CMSuper fonts loaded. The aett font looks exactly like lmtt to my
eye. The other ``universally'' available tt-like font that I know of is
Courier but that looks MUCH too large with Fourier-GUTenberg.

I've now put together a package and .fd files for using a scaled Courier
based on the helvet package.

\usepackage{scourier} gives Courier scaled at 1.0; just like the courier

\usepackage[scaled]{scourier} gives Courier scaled at 0.97, a scale factor
that I think looks pretty nice with Fourier-GUTenberg. Note that
\usepackage[scaled]{helvet} gives a 0.95 default so they aren't the same.

\usepackage[scaled=x.xxx]{scourier} gives Courier scaled at x.xxx.

The scourier package and .fd files can be obtained at
<http://homepage.mac.com/herbs2/> if you're interested.

Now I'm using

\usepackage{fourier} % use the [expert] option with Utopia Expert Fonts

as my font selection with Fourier-GUTenberg.

Good Luck,
