You might want to try the XeTeX list for this.

The XeTeX project appears to be going very well.

The developer of XeTeX has experience with exotic fonts. There are some 
really strong font brains on the list.

I have tried this same process with the Oaksoft Classical Greek font 
and never did get it totally working. But that was before XeTex as 
widely known. I have not tried since learning about XeTeX.
