[OS X TeX] questions: xy-pic

You should not need either of these.
A unix install of  Xy-pic  should already be in place on your system,
assuming you have installed  teTeX  either via  gwTeX  or from TeXLive.

To test this hypothesis, just do:   kpsewhich xy.sty
in a terminal, or just go ahead and try   \usepackage[all]{xy}
in your LaTeX source.

Yes, that would be correct, if you are installing from scratch.
But I doubt that it's needed anymore.

Xy-pic has been a part of teTeX and TeXLive for many years now.
