[OS X TeX] LW35 fonts, hard to get rid of

Hi all
For now, I have solved the problem by being stubborn, hacking away the
parts in psfonts.map that caused problems and then saving the file as
psfonts.map and as psfonts_t1.map in my personal
/texmf.local/fonts/map.dvips/updmap folder.
Then I did "sudo mktexlsr" in the terminal window.
Then I compiled a tex file again and now this one compiled without that
very very long list of problem-fonts.
I still remain open minded about the "proper" way to solve this.
