[OS X TeX] TeXShop and the .tex file extension

It should be difficult to have it not add that, so my guess is your new 
iBook hasn't had the default setting in the Finder changed to show 
them, click on the menu Finder | Preferences .... and check ``Always 
show file extensions'' in the resultant dialog box.
