Maybe you should write a book, Gerben, and make millions :) I don't know
what you'd fill the other 998 pages with...
Thomas's response echoes everything I think about i-Installer, but much
more coherently and comprehensively. I definitely missed out a few
things in my comments to you.
I'll add that once installing, which can take a while, i-Installer is
happy to sit in the background and not bother the rest of the system at
all---there is no perceived notion of a giant software distribution
spiderwebbing its way invisibly all over your computer.
But I reiterate that I prefer it without metal ;)
