For the US, (and Canada too ?) it'll be hard to do better than

which started this thread.
For Antarctica, the hard part would be getting there to collect it.

As for your 'Applications Table', are you going to add the utilities
mentioned in the 'Gems from Japan' thread: RPN2TeX and AutoTeX ?
The latter is really neat, for setting up automatic processing
of TeX/LaTeX source that changes regularly.
(It's an alternative to using a Makefile.)
The former app is just verrry cooool.
