Aha! No it doesn't -- then it seems to work perfectly. On the other
hand, now I am a little perplexed. I understood that LY1 is the
preferred encoding -- am I incorrect?
In addition, all I did was change:
\usepackage[LY1]{fontenc}
to:
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
Is that correct?
