[OS X TeX] More information about TeXtures?

Nowadays , Textures advantange lies only in flashmode and
synchronization, which come into play when you are writing or editing a
paper, both of which are my primary concerns.
For the finer points of latex and friends, tetex and various tools and
front ends offer better solutions.
