Are any of these what you are seeking?

    /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/tex/texinfo

    /usr/local/teTeX/info

    /usr/local/teTeX/man



I think (but could be wrong) you'll NOT find files like:

    latex2e.texi

and

    texinfo.txi

in the teTeX (i-Installer) distribution.

But they are available on tug.org and ctan.org.
