[OS X TeX] Identifying the distribution that's been installed

There is another simple mechanism: either do a 'locate tl200' or look 
into /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex. I have there:

	/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex/texmf.cnf.gwtex.tl2003
	/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex/texmf.cnf.gwtex.tl2004

so I am with TL2005. (No such file means TL2003, only one is TL2004.)

It's related to similiar files in your i-Packages download directory. 
Look there inside the tex.ii2 bundle.
