[OS X TeX] .dvi files: not quite there

xdvi is not the binary but a script that invokes at line #46 the actual 
binary, xdvi-xaw.bin.

Seems you don't have it any more ... Try to restore it from a backup. 
If you do not have a backup, try this workaroud:

re-install the old TeX i-Package
save /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin6.8/xdvi-xaw.bin to a 
safe place (cp ... ~/bin)
re-install the new TeX i-Package
mv the saved xdvi-xaw.bin into its proper place (sudo mv 
~/bin/xdvi-xaw.bin /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current)
