  teTeX looks for files in the following order:
   •  ~/Library/texmf
   •  /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local
   •  /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex
   •  /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex
   •  /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf
