[OS X TeX] Stuffit Expander Problem

This is yet another reason why the very first thing I do with EVERY
stufit archive is expande it and then either compress it as a zip or
as a dmg, then trash the stuffit archive.

I also try to avoid downloading Stuffit files if at all possible.

just say NO to Stuffit, it is crap.
