[OS X TeX] Caption next to figure?

Hi,

I usually do this like

\begin{figure}
	\parbox[b]{.48\linewidth}{
		\includegraphics[width=\linewidth]{file.eps}}\hfill
	\parbox[b]{.48\linewidth}{
		\caption{this caption appears to the right of the figure.}
		\label{fig1}
	}
\end{figure}

Just swap the content of the \parbox-es to have the caption at the left 
hand side.
Probably there are more sophisticated ways to do this, especially 
regarding the vertical alignment; I've been planning vor some time to 
implement a nicer solution overriding LaTeX's built-in mechanism, but 
the above method works fine...
