Of course it's a matter of interpretation. Consider Apple's Software
License Agreement
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=26275>. Playing devil's
advocate, you have Article 1 which defines "software" as including
accompanying fonts:

"The software, documentation and any fonts accompanying this License
whether on disk, in read only memory, on any other media or in any
other form (collectively the "Apple Software") [...]"

and then Article 2 which only allows one copy of the software on a
single computer:

"This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple
Software on a single computer at a time"

and which also prohibits modifying the software:

"Except as and only to the extent expressly permitted in this License
or by applicable law, you may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer,
disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the Apple Software
or any part thereof"

Hence, a possible interpretation is that converting any OS X font for
use with TeXShop would violate the license agreement by (i) first
making a copy of the font and (ii) then modifying it (or creating a
derivative work) by converting it to another format.

Personally I think this interpretation is overly restrictive and does
not make sense, but it's probably better to be aware of it.
