Hi everyone,
I've put together a significantly updated version of AquaTkbibtex, which
was my modest effort (released a year ago) to package tkbibtex in a more
Mac-friendly way. My Tcl/Tk skills are much greater than they were a
year ago, so I've made a lot of changes to the package:
1. The Applescript launcher is gone.
2. AquaTkbibtex is now a standalone application that supports
drag-and-drop launches of .bib files by itself.
3. I've reworked the GUI code extensively to make the general appearance
of tkbibtex more in line with Aqua interface conventions.
4. I've added a more intuitive print dialog.
The core functionality of the application is unchanged in terms of
parsing .bib files.
I have a beta version available for download at
http://www.wordtech-software.com/AquaTkbibtex.dmg
It's been developed and tested on 10.4; should run on 10.3 as well.
There isn't another link to it, as I'm not ready to update the tkbibtex
page at my site with the updated version. I'd appreciate bug reports,
feedback, etc.; I can then incorporate this feedback into the final version.
By the way, tkbibtex itself hasn't been updated for about three years.
If the program's main developer makes changes, I will try to track those
changes in my version or discuss merging my changes into his code.
Thanks for the feedback.
