That's hard to believe ...

What it, in Terminal this returning:

	otool -L /usr/lib/libiconv.*

	locate libiconv

The last one searches for other, particularly too old, instances of 
this library (from Fink, DarwinPorts, personal efforts ...). I hope you 
have prepared your locate DB (on Panther it's 'sudo 
/usr/libexec/locate.updatedb' + some minutes to wait)!
