[OS X TeX] TeX i-package: Having trouble installing 2005

I will take your advice later today, though for the moment I might try an 
'Expert' installation and see if that makes any difference.

What I find odd is that I first installed the 2005 version a couple of weeks ago 
without a problem. Yesterday, i-installer told me that some 20MB of the TeX 
package had changed, so I installed it (a rousing chorus of "If it aint broke, 
don't fix it" can be heard in the distance...) and that is when the problem 
started. The 2004 version installs without problems.
