[OS X TeX] Larger fonts in article.cls

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Maarten's tip for using 
exarticle.sty is working very nicely for my immediate (due in 2 hours) 
needs. I will try out the other suggestions when I have more (sic) 
time.
