[OS X TeX] FontForge and TeX i-Package update

Have you tried setting up a ~/.xinitrc instead? In that case it will 
overcome the default /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc. See especially "Q: Does 
X11.app process my ~/.xinitrc?" at
