[OS X TeX] Multiple color postscript / pdf to font?

Hello,

I have some multiple-color symbols in postscript (illustrator) source 
and would like make an outline font containing these symbols, keeping 
their colors. I worked someplace years ago where we did this with color 
logos, but have long since lost the technology.

Is doing this possible with metafont or metapost, or something like 
that?
