Howdy,

What is the output of the

which pdfcrop

command in Terminal?

Given the lack of any pdftricks.sty file in the distribution, if  
pdfcrop is missing I think you have an incomplete TeX system. I'd try  
a re-install. Also, what version of the i-installer do you have?
