Same here. On the other hand, it's mostly that I started using "Save  
Selection As" at a time (it may have been Mathematica 2) the Display  
and Export functions didn't exist; there was even IIRC a keyboard  
shortcut Cmd-E (that I miss, it was convenient) for that command.

Then when Display and Export were introduced I was surprised they  
didn't produce the same output I was used to (different graphics size  
than with "Save Selection As", in particular, and different bounding  
box maybe), and I didn't have time to experiment with settings to get  
that very same output.

That said, I never experienced any bounding box problem with "Save  
Selection As".
